Licensed Mental Health Professional

CHIP of Roanoke is currently seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Licensed Mental Health Professional to provide counseling services to low income parents of young children experiencing depression, anxiety and chronic stress. Responsibilities include: assessing and providing counseling services to at-risk families in both a clinic and client home setting; reviewing case load, documentation, and treatment plan adherence; providing guidance, consultation and in-service training to CHIP staff on relevant topics; reviewing program policies and procedures and giving feedback for program development and enhancement of clinical services.

Requirements include: independent licensure in the state of Virginia as a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT); already credentialed with Medicaid MCO’s strongly preferred.

CHIP Community Health Nurse

 Flexible, family-friendly hours (with no holiday, weekend or on-call work required). Child Health Investment Partnership (CHIP) of Roanoke Valley is seeking a full-time RN to join our team in a grant funded position providing health care coordination, asthma case management, parenting education and prenatal case management to medically underserved children and families via home visits. Marketing Intern

CHIP of Roanoke is seeking a marketing intern to assist with the development of a marketing plan.  This position is an unpaid, 5 month internship that can be utilized for school credits if available from your school.
Responsibilities include:

  • Build Briefs for each sub-group of target audiences of CHIP
    • Develop a targeted message for each subgroup that includes:
      • Our LEAD claim
      • Supporting reason to believe
      • What we wan them to do
  • Review Development Calendar and develop a “Press Plan” & press kits for the year.
  • Develop and implement a plan to increase visibility through Facebook and grow network of Friends.
  • Develop a plan to promote the Text to Give program.
  • Develop a plan for Micro-giving through CHIP.
  • Assist with CHIP Special Event planning.
  • Design Calendar/Flyers for CHIP family-focused events.
  • Assist with raising visibility for volunteer recruitment.
