Director of Mental Health

Child Health Investment Partnership (CHIP) of Roanoke is currently seeking a FT Director of Mental Health Services to provide counseling services to low income children and adults and serve as a member of the management team. This position is a combination of direct clinical service provision and administrative duties. Responsibilities include: assessing and providing counseling services to at-risk families in both a clinic and client home setting; maintaining documentation and treatment plan adherence; providing guidance and in-service training to CHIP staff on relevant topics; providing mental health consultation to CHIP families on home visits with CHIP staff; reviewing program policies and procedures and giving feedback for program development and enhancement of clinical services; participating in management team meetings to ensure integration of mental health services into the CHIP model.

Requirements include: Licensure in the state of Virginia as a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT); experience and willingness to counsel both adults and young children strongly preferred; administrative/supervisory experience and already credentialed with Medicaid MCO’s strongly preferred.

Marketing Intern

CHIP of Roanoke is seeking a marketing intern to assist with social media campaigns.  This position will help maintain CHIP’s presence on various social media platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to the organization. This position is an unpaid, 5 month internship that can be utilized for school credits if available from your school.
Responsibilities include:

        • Work with the on-site Social Media Manager to create and implement campaigns
        • Assist on updating Facebook and Twitter accounts
        • Work with Marketing team to create ideas to promote upcoming 30th Anniversary
        • Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis
        • Create engaging blog and social media content
        • Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts
