| Ms. Haldiman joined CHIP in 1995 as the organization’s second CEO. Her background includes 16 years tenure as CHIP’s CEO and an additional 12 years experience in program and organization management in the non-profit sector. In her tenure, she has overseen the development of a long-range plan and business plan, expanded program services to include mental health, oral health, asthma, and pregnant moms case management, initiated collaborative efforts bringing new expertise and funding to CHIP, and implemented a computerized patient tracking system to better maintain data for outcome tracking and position CHIP to implement research and evaluation efforts. Ms. Haldiman is Vice Chair of the Virginia Oral Health Coalition in Richmond, VA,, a member of the Community & Diversity Advisory Board for Virginia Tech Carilion Medical School and is a past chair of the Community Based Health Care Coalition and the Roanoke Mission of Mercy Executive Committee. Ms. Haldiman holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Mary Baldwin College, and is a graduate of the Health Care Executive Program from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.

| Ms. Journell joined CHIP in 2000 as a Family Case Manager. She was promoted to the position of Senior Family Case Manager in 2004 and to the position of Director of Family Support Services in 2005. Her background includes 12 years experience in Early Childhood Development, home visitation, and providing interventions to high-risk families. She has received certifications in Child Development, Parents As Teachers, and is certified to provide Core Service Training for CHIP staff throughout Virginia. Ms. Journell sits on the Roanoke Regional Steering Committee, the Smart Beginnings of Roanoke Valley’s Operations Committee, and the Smart Beginnings’ EAT and PEAT Committees. Ms. Journell holds an A.A.S. in Mental Health from Virginia Western Community College. |

| Dr. Young joined CHIP in 2006 as the organization’s first Director of Nursing & Training. Her background includes 40 years of nursing experience, with a specialty in Pediatric Care. Prior to joining CHIP, Dr. Young previously served as the Director of Pediatric Services for Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital and Associate Professor of Nursing at Radford University’s School of Nursing. Dr. Young holds a B.S.N. in Nursing from Florida State University, a M.S. in Nursing of Children from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Ph.D. in Family & Child Development from Virginia Tech. She is Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse and is a Certified Asthma Educator. She is an active member of Project Immunize Virginia. |

Denise Ellis recently joined the CHIP team in January 2011. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a bachelors degree in Family and Child Development and graduate of East Carolina University with a master’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations. Her concentration areas of study included infants and toddlers with special needs and parent education. Prior to joining CHIP, her career has included working as a teacher and trainer at the East Carolina University Child Development Laboratory School, providing home based Early Intervention developmental services, working with the Virginia Preschool Initiative and Even Start Family Literacy Program through Montgomery Co Public Schools, helping TAP to develop and initiate the Early Head Start program in Roanoke, and 10 years of working for a private mental health agency during which her job titles included: Intensive In Home Counselor, Coordinator of Intensive In Home Services, Director of the Therapeutic Day Treatment Services and Regional Coordinator which involved providing oversight to 4 mental health programs serving children, adolescents and their families.

| Mr. Moody joined CHIP in 1997 as Director of Finance. His background includes accounting and human resources experience in manufacturing, insurance, and distribution companies. Mr. Moody has also served as a consultant for financial systems and strategic planning corporations. Mr. Moody holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech, a M.S. in Business from Radford University, and a graduate certification in Cash Management from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Mr. Moody is a Certified Management Accountant. |
